Eerdmans Publishing Co. celebrated its one-hundredth anniversary last week. They hosted a talk on Saturday morning by Mark Noll, who gave an overview of his new book Jesus Christ and the Life of the Mind. It’s a sort of sequel to his Scandal of the Evangelical Mind. I had intended to bring my well-marked-up copy of the latter volume for him to sign, but forgot it in my office.
The Grand Rapids Press ran a nice story in yesterday’s paper, recounting the publisher’s history.
The Eerdmans blog, EerdWord, has an interview with Larry ten Harmsel, the author of a history of Eerdmans.
Congratulations, Eerdmans, and thanks for blessing us with countless wonderful volumes!

…not to mention countless wonderful CHEAP volumes through the bookstore. The 2nds shelf at The Bookstore is a blessing for sure for students and pastors, alike!

Yep, that’s how I built most of my library!
