Prayer for the Weekend
Father, we praise you for showing us your love in Jesus.
We praise you for making us your children.
When we were your enemies, you didn’t sit back and plan our destruction.
Your heart was broken at our brokenness.
You strategized and schemed, because you are love, to save us, to redeem us;
to give us new life, a new family, a new hope.
You invaded this dark world and our enslaved condition,
with your radical love and world-changing grace.
We praise you that you are always with us,
and that you always hear our cry for help.
We thank you for the gift of new life, for your love,
and the hope that even death cannot prevent us from fellowship with you.
