Conference on Christianity & Politics

If you’re in West Michigan on October 15th, plan to attend the day conference at GRTS on Christian civic engagement.

I’m very pleased to participate in this along with two excellent scholars.

Amy Black teaches political science at Wheaton College and has written Honoring God in Red or Blue: Approaching Politics with Humility, Grace, and Reason.  She also wrote an excellent article in Christianity Today earlier this year on remaining faithfully Christian in the midst of heated public rhetoric.

George Marsden is very well-known and has written extensively on the history of American evangelicalism and has a keen grasp on the range of tensions involved in evangelicals’ participation in the wider culture.

It’ll be a wonderful day of conversation, so do plan to be part of it if you’re in the area!
